Breeding
Each check, an animal that is tame, fed, not alerted, below its pen limit and with a partner close by gets a love point unless the game rolls at or under its pregnancy chance — so the 0.33 often quoted as the chance to breed is the chance to skip a check. At its love points it is pregnant; the young appears at the first check after the pregnancy time and has its parent's level, so two-star parents give two-star young with four times the level-scaled drops.

Hens and asksvin lay eggs instead: an egg hatches after 30 min (Asksvin), 30 min (Hen) while warm, and the chick or hatchling then grows up. Their young do not count toward the pen limit (only the adults and the egg prefab do), so the pen limit does not cap how many grow at once.
Formula
Love time = love points ÷ (1 − pregnancy chance) × check interval.
To birth = (⌊pregnancy time ÷ interval⌋ + 1) × interval.
Per young (per adult) = love time + to birth.
Raised per hour (keep 2 adults) = (pen limit − 2) ÷ (grow-up time + half a cycle).
Meat per hour = young per hour × drop chance × average amount (Random.Range(min, max), max excluded) × 2^(level − 1) for level-scaled drops.

Assumptions
- The animals are always fed, calm and within partner range; a hungry or alerted animal skips its checks.
- You are nearby: the checks run only while the area is loaded.
- Raised per hour is a model of a pen run at its limit: grown young are killed as soon as they grow up.
- Drop chances at or under 30% use the game's counter instead of a roll; the long-run rate is used.
- See taming for what each animal eats.
