Comfort

The game counts comfort from the pieces within 10 m: 1 to start, +1 if you are under a roof, then the best piece of each group — two chairs count as one. Pieces without a group count each, but only once per name. Fires and the hot tub count only while lit. Rested lasts 8 min at comfort 1 and 1 minute more for every level above it.

Why other sites say 22, 24 or 25: seasonal decorations (Yule, Midsummer, Halloween) are only in the build menu at certain dates, but once built they keep counting. The rule comes from SE_Rested.CalculateComfortLevel and the dates from the game's seasonal groups: Yule 1/12–6/1, Halloween 1/10–6/11, Midsummer 1/6–6/7 (day/month).
