On Thunderstore: r2modman by ebkr (10,668,595 downloads; its author describes it as "A simple and easy to use mod manager for many games using Thunderstore"), then BepInExPack Valheim (7,345,458) and Jotunn (4,822,336). Leaving out mod managers and the libraries other mods need, the most downloaded is PlantEverything (2,802,308), then EquipmentAndQuickSlots (1.6M), Warfare (1.5M), ExtraSlots (1.3M), Server devcommands (1.2M).

›Which Valheim mods were updated for 1.0.17?

1,232 mods on Thunderstore were updated on or after 2026-10-05, the day 1.0.17 came out (checked 2026-10-14). The most downloaded of them: Warfare (1.5M), ExtraSlots (1.3M), AdventureBackpacks (1.2M), OdinArchitect (1.1M), BetterArchery (1.0M). An update after the patch does not by itself mean the mod works with it.

  • Client-side, Server-side and the other categories are the tags each author picked on Thunderstore.
  • Left out of “changes the game itself”: libraries (Thunderstore's Libraries category or a dependency of 50+ mods) and programs with no dependencies tagged only Tools (the mod manager).
  • 83 packages marked NSFW are not counted or listed.
